Fall Activities
As the rainy season and cool fall weather sets in, the leaves begin their annual metamorphosis. The vibrant hues of orange, yellow and red lit up against the dark green of the evergreens is a sight that is not easily forgotten. Waterfowl thrive in this environment and can be seen frolicking in the waters around the shores of the Rupert River as they prepare for the long flight south.
Almost every fall without fail one can see the unmistakable humps of the fabled beluga whales as they break the tea-stained river surface. The Rupert River is teeming with schools of cisco, pickerel, whitefish, and many other types of marine life that these white whales cannot resist. To see one of these beautiful white creatures will make any trip worthwhile.
